SMITTEN, STRICKEN AND AFFLICTED
“Smitten, Stricken and Afflicted” was written by Thomas Kelly in 1804. When I first heard the hymn I was moved by the incredible person of Jesus. The song captures the many layers of His sufferings and the unique role He plays in the context of human history. It helps us understand why Jesus had to die, and ends declaring the certain hope He gives to each one of us.
DANCING WITHOUT SPACE
Dancing Without Space is Christy Ringrose´s first full length album. It was released in 2019 and expresses a young woman´s discovery of the world. Dancing Without Space was produced by Christy Ringrose and Liina Turtonen, and was recorded in a number of locations including Dom Neary´s Music Studio. Below are some song commentaries which give you a short insight into the story behind some of the songs.
